Budgeting is the key forward-looking financial management tool available to managers. Budgets allow organizations to set realistic yet challenging financial targets for incomes and expenditures. They can be used to determine Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and are often used to hold middle management accountable. This can lead to conflict or budget mismanagement. These themes will be investigated throughout this unit by Higher Level students.
