Employee/industrial
relations
Organisations sometimes experience conflict between employers, employees and their respective representatives. Each group has a series of methods available to them in order to have their objectives met should negotiations break down during the collective bargaining phase, each causing different levels of disruption to the organisation. Ongoing confilct may result in the use of a variety of resolution forms, such as mediation, conciliation and arbitration.
Additionally, not all employees will agree on the methods of conflict resolution or feel personally disadvantaged by the demands of the employer. Many are happy to continue working , whereas others are driven to change.
